Twist: This type of carpet is suitable for either domestic or commercial flooring. This type of carpet is hardwearing and is fine to use in all areas. Manufacturers include Victoria Carpets. Velvet: This carpet has a plush feel and is suitable for homes rather than commercial premises. This is manufactured by Georgian Carpets and is suitable for all areas. Saxony: Saxony carpet is very luxurious and therefore is suitable for bedroom use in domestic properties. Structured: Structured carpets are low loop hard wearing carpets suitable for use in domestic properties. Impervious backed: These carpets won’t allow spillages to seep into the sub floor, are used in commercial premises and are perfect for care homes. Carpet Tiles Loop: Low loop carpet tiles are more industrial looking so are suited for commercial use. This are suitable for all office areas and manufacturers include Heuga. Tufted: Plush pile carpet tiles are softer looking than the low loop, so are suited to executive offices and showrooms. Manufacturers include Interface. Vinyl Flooring Sheet vinyl flooring is available in 2, 3 or 4 metre lengths, and available in widths to avoid wastage. Designs include wood plank, tile, plain or mottled. Vinyl flooring is suitable for domestic use, mainly being used in bathrooms or kitchens, but can also be used as an inexpensive option in hallways or dining areas. Manufacturers include Tarket or Marley. Designer Vinyl Tiles This flooring is made up of individual tiles which when put together can create one off designs. Vinyl tiles are three times harder wearing than sheet vinyl flooring and are suitable for all areas, whether they be in domestic or commercial premises. Due to the attractiveness of designer vinyl tiles, they are often used throughout shops, restaurants and homes. Manufacturers include Karndean and Amtico. Safety Flooring This flooring is slip resistant, hygienic and hardwearing. With these attributes this flooring is suited to commercial premises and public areas, especially wet rooms, toilets, commercial kitchens and staircases. Manufacturers include Altro and Polysafe. Wood Flooring Solid wood engineered flooring is attractive, long lasting and can be sanded and refinished numerous times. This flooring is solid wood veneer on a ply base veneer from 2 to 6mm. Wood flooring is suitable for all areas, both domestic and commercial. Laminate Laminate flooring has a HDF core for durability, does not require any maintenance and is suitable for all areas whether they be domestic or commercial (depending on grade). Manufacturers include Quickstep and Balterio. Entrance Matting Entrance matting can be rib, barrier, coir and coconut. It is inexpensive, easily replaceable and will save wear and tear on flooring. Entrance matting is suitable for both commercial and domestic buildings. Underlay Polyurathene recycled foam: This gives a high standard of both heat and sound insulation, is long lasting and does not perish like rubber. Because of these factors Diamond Floorings recommends the use of this underlay for both commercial and domestic purposes. Felt: Felt makes a dense hard wearing underlay which is good for commercial use. Rubber: This material is used in traditional underlay and is available in various qualities. Door trims Standard ali bars: These are provided free to Diamond Floorings customers when purchasing a floor and are suitable for both domestic and commercial use. Solid brass bars: These are beautiful, long lasting and come in various finishes such as chrome, nickel, traditional brass and antique brass. They can be used with both domestic or commercial flooring. Solid oak bars: These are an inexpensive option for commercial/executive customers.
